My biggest gripe about the new GMail

No navigational controls at the bottom of the message list.

There’s a reason these controls appear on every paginated list ever.

Form follows function, bitches.

One of my biggest so far is how they have cryptic icons rather than “spam” and “delete” text on the buttons at the top.  If you don’t have licensing to use a photo of a can of Spam, then write “Spam” rather than use a visual representation.
